The ceiling of Gimle was painted in 1971 by Sigmund Aarseth and ever since, generations of villagers have been delighted by searching out the three faces hidden within the rosemaling. For our 50th anniversary, another face was added onto a time capsule which is placed high in the rafters of Gimle. Now we can all wear a piece of Gimle proudly all year round, with one of the three faces happily adorning a 'Chateau brown' t-shirt.
